"The difference between Yellow Shea Butter and Ivory Shea Butter is not that significant. Both are derived from the same African shea tree, but the processing of each results in a unique product. Ivory Shea Butter and Yellow Shea Butter is unrefined, typically raw, and has a strong nutty aroma. It is also quite thick and may require a little more elbow grease to spread."
Yellow
Our Yellow Shea Butter is from the West African Republic of Mali. Because our raw and pure yellow shea has an extremely strong smell we also offer yellow shea butter with a more lenient smell which we have infused with less then 0,5% of Grapefruit Essential Oil. Where it’s just enough essential oil that the natural smell of the shea butter is much more durable for all. And another one which has much more essential oil (0,5%-1%) and therefore smells like the oil.
Ivory
Our Ivory shea butter is from the West African Republic of The Gambia. This shea butter has a mild smell and works just as good as the yellow one. We also offer our ivory shea infused with fragrance, for those who don’t mind having perfume in their products and likes sweet and fruity odors.
